My child has never played. Is that OK?
Yes. Groups are set by age, and the coaches work with every level, from first-timers to players already on a team.
Which group is my child in?
Ages 6 to 9 play 8 to 9am. Ages 10 to 13 play 9 to 10am. Advanced 10 to 13 year olds and players 14 and up play 10 to 11am.
What should we bring?
Basketball shoes, comfortable clothes to play in, and a water bottle.
How does membership work?
After the $15 trial, membership is $69 every 2 weeks. You can pause, change or cancel anytime in the member portal.
Is there a sibling discount?
Yes. Each additional child after the first is 50% off membership.
Where exactly is it?
AFC Fitness, 601 Righters Ferry Rd, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004, right across the bridge from Manayunk.
How do I sign up?
Book the $15 first Saturday online. You pay once, tell us your player’s age, and we text you to confirm their group and time. Membership comes after, only if your player wants to keep going: Cynthia texts you a membership link after the clinic, and nothing is charged until you use it.
Do I need to sign up before Saturday?
Yes, please book online first so the coaches know who is coming and which group your player is in. You can book right up to Saturday morning.
What happens at the first clinic?
Your player joins their age group for a full hour: deliberate drills around the day’s focus, a weekly competition, and a short mindset talk. Parents are welcome to watch.
Is 14 too old to start?
No. Players 14 and up have their own group at 10am, and experienced younger players join them. Beginners at that age are welcome too.
Who are the coaches?
Former college players and coaches, four of whom played Division I. Program Directors Ben Daugherty and Zac Ervin both played at Elon. See the coaches page for everyone.
