Terms and Conditions

1. Who can register

PBS programs are for players ages 6 and up. A parent or legal guardian must register the player, agree to these Terms on the player's behalf, and remain responsible for the player's participation, conduct and payments.

You agree to give us accurate information when you register (including the player's name, age and any health information we need to keep them safe) and to keep it up to date.

2. Our programs

PBS runs Saturday morning basketball clinics at AFC Fitness, 601 Righters Ferry Rd, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004. Players are grouped by age, with an advanced group for experienced players. Coaches place players in the group they judge appropriate and may move a player between groups.

Times, groups, coaches and the venue may change. When they do, we tell registered families by text or email as early as we can.

3. The first Saturday

The first Saturday clinic is a one-time $15 payment made online. It covers one clinic in your player's age group. After you pay, we text you to confirm the group and start time. The first Saturday does not start a membership, and you are not charged anything further unless you choose to join. If you would like to continue, we text you a membership link after the clinic; membership begins only when you complete it.

4. Membership and billing

• Membership is $69 every 2 weeks, charged automatically to the payment method you provide at checkout. Each additional child in the same family is 50% off.
• Membership includes weekly Saturday clinics, bonus workouts, the monthly Zoom with college and professional players, online training resources, and member events, as described on our website at the time you join. The contents of membership may change over time.
• Payments are processed by Stripe, our payment provider, and appear on statements as “Play It Forward.” We do not store your full card number.
• You can pause, change or cancel your membership at any time in the member portal (portal.philadelphiabasketballschool.com) or by contacting us. Cancelling stops future charges; the current billing period runs to its end.
• If a payment fails, we may pause the player's membership until payment is brought up to date.
• We may change prices. We will give current members at least 30 days' notice by text or email before a price change takes effect.

5. Refunds, missed Saturdays and cancellations by PBS

The first Saturday fee and membership payments are not refundable, except where the law requires a refund or where we agree otherwise in writing. Membership is billed for ongoing access to the program rather than per clinic, so a missed Saturday is not refunded or credited; if your player will be away for a while, pause the membership instead.

If we have to cancel a Saturday (for example weather, a venue closure or coach illness), we tell families by text as early as we can and do our best to offer a make-up session.

6. Health, safety and risk

Basketball is a physical activity. By registering, you confirm that your player is in good health and able to take part, and you agree to tell us about any medical condition, allergy or injury that our coaches should know about.

You understand that participation in basketball carries a risk of injury, including from falls, collisions with other players, equipment or the floor, and physical exertion, and that these risks cannot be eliminated. In an emergency, you authorize PBS staff to give or seek first aid and medical care for your player, and you agree to be responsible for the cost of that care.

Parents and guardians will also be asked to sign PBS's participation waiver. These Terms do not replace it.

Players must follow the coaches' instructions and the venue's rules. Please send your player with basketball shoes, clothes suitable for play and a water bottle.

7. Conduct

We want every player to feel welcome. Players, parents and guardians are expected to treat coaches, other players, families and venue staff with respect. We may ask a player to sit out, or end a player's participation, for behavior that is unsafe or disruptive, or for a parent's or guardian's conduct that interferes with the program. Where we end a membership for conduct, we will not charge for future billing periods.

8. Photos and video

We may photograph or record clinics and events for coaching, our website, social media and marketing. We ask for your permission for the use of your player's image when you sign up. If you do not want your player photographed or recorded, or you change your mind, email ben@philadelphiabasketballschool.com and we will honor it going forward. Our Privacy Policy has more on this.

9. Communications

When you register, we use your phone number and email address to communicate about your registration, schedule, group, billing and program changes. Marketing texts are sent only with your separate consent, and you can stop them at any time by replying STOP. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email.

10. Personal belongings and the venue

PBS is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal items at clinics or events. The venue is operated by AFC Fitness and its own rules apply while you are there.

11. Using our website

The content of Philadelphiabasketballschool.com, including text, photos, logos and training materials in the member portal, belongs to PBS or is used with permission. You may use it for your family's own participation and may not copy or redistribute it for commercial purposes. You agree not to misuse the website, interfere with its operation or try to access data that is not yours.

Our website links to services run by others, including Stripe for payments and the member portal. Those services have their own terms.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and for significant changes we tell current members by text or email. Continuing to take part after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, and any dispute will be handled in the courts located in Pennsylvania, unless the law requires otherwise.
